Connect an AI Assistant
Let Claude, ChatGPT, and other AI assistants look up your favorites and wishlists, save products you find while chatting, and suggest gift ideas — all inside your own Favorize account.
Server address: https://assistant.favorize.app/mcp
You'll need a free Favorize account (email/password, Google, or Apple sign-in) to connect — no paid plan required. Use this address wherever your AI assistant asks for an MCP server URL.
What is this?
Favorize runs a hosted connector using the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that lets AI assistants securely access an app on your behalf. Once you connect an assistant to Favorize, it can act on your account the same way you would in the app — reading your wishlists, saving items you find mid-conversation, and suggesting gifts — without you switching apps.
This is a newer connector than the Favorize app itself. If a step below does not behave as described, please tell us at support@favorize.app rather than assuming you did something wrong.
What your assistant can do
Once connected, and using only your own account's data, your assistant can:
- Read your profile
- List, add, and remove your favorites
- Preview a product link's title, price, and image before saving it
- List your wishlists and see what's inside them
- Create new wishlists and update existing ones (rename, change visibility, description, or cover image)
- Add and remove items from your wishlists
- Search the Favorize product catalog by keyword
- Get personalized product recommendations, for browsing, gifting, or finding items similar to ones you like
It cannot see or change any other user's data — every action is locked to your own account — and there is no purchasing, payment, or checkout capability. Buying still happens on the retailer's own site. For the full breakdown of which data categories each permission covers, see the AI Assistant Connector section of our Privacy Policy.
Which AI apps work today
Every client below uses the same sign-in and consent screen: you sign in with your Favorize account and approve or deny each requested permission individually before anything is shared.
claude.ai
- Go to Settings > Connectors.
- Choose Add custom connector.
- Enter the server address above.
- claude.ai registers itself automatically and redirects you to Favorize's sign-in and consent page.
- Sign in with your Favorize account, then review and approve the requested permissions.
- You're redirected back to claude.ai, connected.
ChatGPT (Developer mode)
- Enable Developer mode in ChatGPT's Settings > Connectors.
- Add a custom connector using the server address above.
- Complete the sign-in and consent flow the same way as claude.ai.
Claude Code
From a terminal, run:
claude mcp add --transport http favorize https://assistant.favorize.app/mcp
Claude Code opens your browser for the same sign-in and consent flow. Once connected, ask it to list your favorites or search products to confirm it's working.
Gemini CLI
From a terminal, run:
gemini mcp add --transport http favorize https://assistant.favorize.app/mcp
Gemini CLI detects that sign-in is required and opens your browser for the same consent flow. This needs local browser access — it won't work over a headless/SSH session without port forwarding.
Perplexity
Requires Pro, Max, or Enterprise- Go to Settings > Connectors.
- Click + Custom connector, then choose Remote.
- Enter a name (e.g. "Favorize") and the server address above.
- Choose OAuth as the authentication method, acknowledge Perplexity's "only connect sources you trust" notice, and click Connect.
- Sign in with your Favorize account and approve the requested permissions.
Le Chat (Mistral)
Available on all plans, including Free- In Le Chat, open the Connectors page.
- Click + Add Connector, then switch to the Custom MCP Connector tab.
- Enter a connector name and the server address above.
- Click Connect — Le Chat detects the authentication method automatically.
- Sign in with your Favorize account and approve the requested permissions.
Disconnecting
- Remove the connector inside the AI app you connected it from (e.g. Claude's or ChatGPT's own connector settings). Most compliant apps notify Favorize immediately, revoking access right away.
- A connection that sits unused for 90 days stops working on its own.
- Deleting your Favorize account revokes every connection immediately, as part of standard account deletion.
- For an immediate manual revoke regardless of what your AI app does, email privacy@favorize.app.
